TAKE CARE OF OUR WATER!

I work for water. I am a lifelong paddler – whitewater and sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, canoe touring, and stand up paddleboarding.

On Michigami, Lake Michigan, I recently began SUP Surfing !!!

I am a kayak instructor trainer with the American Canoe Association. I have taught hundreds of people to paddle, and I am dedicated to water and watershed education and stewardship.

Quality experiences on water, dedication to water, water stewardship. ALL CONNECTED!

Many of my conservation partnerships with Native Nations  involve water stewardship and watershed education for Tribal youth.

At the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, I serve as a Faculty Associate for Native Nations Partnerships. I also  work as an outreach specialist for the Earth Partnership in their Indigenous Arts and Sciences Program.

My doctoral research at UW-Madison was in community water stewardship in partnership with the ad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Place-based education and Geographic Information Systems are two of my tools of the trade.
